The short version
- BookPeek costs nothing. There is no account, no subscription and nothing to pay, so there is nothing to refund.
- Its sales figures are estimates, given as ranges. Nobody outside Amazon has Amazon's sales numbers, and BookPeek does not pretend to.
- It is a research tool, not advice. What you write and what you charge for it are your decisions.
- Use it on your own Amazon account, the way a shopper would.
- It is not affiliated with Amazon in any way.
Who provides BookPeek
BookPeek is made and provided by Md Muntaseer Rahman, an individual developer, reachable at muntaseerrahman@gmail.com. Installing or using BookPeek means you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.
What it costs, and refunds
BookPeek is provided at no charge. There is no paid tier, no trial that turns into a bill, and no payment details are ever collected — which also means there is no payment to refund. If a paid version is ever offered, it will be described here before it exists, with its own refund terms, and it will never take away something this version already did for nothing.
The bookpeek-mcp helper, which lets AI apps use BookPeek, is published separately under the MIT licence and is also free.
What the numbers are, and what they are not
This is the most important thing on this page. Amazon publishes a sales rank; it does not publish sales. Every sales figure BookPeek shows is an estimate worked out from that rank, and it is always given as a range because the honest error on it is wide. Nobody selling you a single sales number for a book has a better source than this one — they have the same rank and a bolder rounding.
The same goes for the rest. Royalty figures come from KDP's own published printing-cost tables, which Amazon changes from time to time; BookPeek shows the date its tables were read and you should check anything you are about to price a book on. Amazon publishes no search volume for books, so BookPeek shows none and does not invent one. A verdict on a niche is a reading of page 1 on one day, in one country, and BookPeek tells you how many books it actually managed to open so you can judge it.
Decisions are yours. BookPeek is a research tool. It is not financial, business, legal or publishing advice, and no figure it shows is a promise of what a book will earn.
How you may use it
- Use it in your own browser, signed in to your own Amazon account if you are signed in at all.
- Do not use it to break Amazon's own terms, and do not use it in a way that puts unreasonable load on Amazon. BookPeek reads pages slowly and one at a time on purpose; do not try to defeat that.
- Do not resell BookPeek, or pass its results off as a service of your own.
- Book reviews and sample pages belong to the people who wrote and published them. BookPeek shows them so you can understand a market. Copying that text into your own book is plagiarism, and it is on you, not on this tool.
- Do not take apart, alter or repackage the extension. The helper is open source under MIT and you may do as that licence allows.

BookPeek is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Amazon.com, Inc. or any of its companies. Amazon, Kindle, KDP and Kindle Direct Publishing are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. BookPeek reads the pages your browser has already been served, as a reader of them; it carries no Amazon affiliate links and earns nothing from anything you buy.
Amazon may change its pages at any time. When that happens, parts of BookPeek will stop reading correctly until it is updated. It is built to say so rather than to guess, but the interruption is real and is not something I can prevent.
No warranty
BookPeek is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates will match what a book actually sells.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of BookPeek — including lost profits, lost sales, wasted work, or a book that did not sell. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Some countries do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as that country's law allows, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Your data
BookPeek keeps your saved searches and settings in your own browser and sends nothing to me. What it reads and what it stores is set out in full on the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Ending it
You can stop using BookPeek at any time by removing it from Chrome, which removes its data from that browser. I may stop publishing or updating BookPeek at any time; if I do, a copy you have installed keeps working until Amazon or Chrome changes underneath it.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page is updated and the date at the top changes. A change that affects what you pay or what you may do will be made before the version it applies to is released.
